Celebrating Connections: A Night of Inspiration, Unity, and Purpose with MCCY

Change your world for the better. It was an awesome appreciation night by Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY) and became somewhat a reunion party of many friends and past acquaintances involved with MCCY and related arts, culture, religious and community agencies and groups. I got to catch up with Pastor Andrew Khoo (a true inspiration for his charity and inter-faith work and a new partner for a project), the legend Louis Soliano, MOS Alvin Tan and catching up with my fellow board members of School of the Arts Singapore where I have proudly served for more than 2 years. I think for me, the most important thing we could do with arts, education and culture is to connect with others, to celebrate our common humanity rather segregate and divide. With my work at Timbre Group, TeamRise and Respect SG and my other projects, I will stay committed to doing this wonderful work of peace making. There will be some new projects to be announced and yes there is a lot of work and it’s getting really busy and I will need to time manage, but last night serves as a timely reminder why the work has to continue and to be done. Thanks to MCCY for inviting me every year and congrats to all the award recipients.
